6 Month Photos :)

Kin's pictures were ready last week!!! I was so excited to pick them up!!! Here are a few :)

First Boat Ride - August 28th, 2011

Kinley took her first boat ride from our backyard Sunday morning. She was tired...and a little cranky...and hated her life jacket.

It smooshes her cheeks up :) 

As long as she was sitting up like this she was fine :)

Then she fell asleep sitting up like this

6 Month Appt / Shots

Kinley's 6 month appointment was last Wednesday the 24th. She got 4 shots including the flu shot (with her having RSV already we decided an extra-precaution can't hurt) and the one oral vaccine...It was really sad. The nurse was super fast that poked her. In the amount of time it took Kin's face to go from normal color to red to purple she was done. One quick scream for all the air out and then she was done. Except for the spitting. She does that when she's mad....For the good stuff :) :) Kinley's 16lbs 13ozs and 26.1 inches tall - in the 60th percentile for both. Dr Bos also said her teeth are right there...but her gums are so thick that who knows when they'll come through. He also said to rest assured - he guarantees she will have teeth one day :) haha.

Her cousin Keiryan is only 4 months old and is already 26 inches tall and is only 1.5lbs lighter than her!!! He's sucha a super cute boy :) Gonna be tall like his daddy - I will get the pictures of them up here from when he was born and we got to visit sometime!!!

Sorry - sidetracked - poor Kin spiked a fever at 2am after her shots and a round of Tylenol already 102 :( She was burning up. So 3 doses of Tylenol, 2 of Motrin and a day later the fever was finally gone. But the poor babe just was feeling awful :( Broke mommas heart. She's better and happy now though!! :)

Mess...

For Kinley's 6 month photos we had a hard time deciding which outfit to wear. She has a ridiculous amount of clothes...it's not even funny. So we put the contenders on the floor in the living room to see what we liked. Kinley was a big help in messing up mommas piles...imagine that :)

I can't see any mess past that cute face and hair!!! 

The Giraffe

The infamous giraffe. This thing is freaking hilarious. It spins around and laughs and spins. Then it stops...until it senses motion...and it's off again. Her grammy brought it for her during their last visit out. She wasn't too sure what to think of it then. Now, once she warms up to it, she thinks since she's bigger she needs to get it....attack attack! I'm not sure how well the pics portray it, but we tried to get it!

Even if she doesn't looooove the giraffe yet - we do. It's so funny to watch her w/ it. Giraffe  (he needs a name) is now a permanent fixture on the cube shelves in her room :)

Amber/Hazelwood Necklace

In an effort to battle eczema that refuses to stay away and get our poor little lady off of soy formula again we've decided to get her a necklace made of amber (for teething) and hazelwood (for eczema). I've never heard of it before, but for 20$ it's better than steroid ointments and soy formula if it works. If it doesn't - it sure looks cute! There are just plain amber necklaces that you can buy to help with teething. It's supposed to be a natural pain reliever. This is the website that I used for research in case anyone wants to check it out. My friend told me her friend swears by the amber teething necklaces...so we'll see :)

1st Cookie - Pretend it's August 17th, 2011

Kinley had her first cookie today in celebration for her Auntie's 19th birthday!!! Happy Birthday Auntie Ali!!!! We love and miss you. We opened them in the store while looking for stuff to see how she'd do. They're her new favorite. She likes finger foods she can nom on much better than baby food. So she's throwing a bit of a curve-ball here, but we'll figure it out - I hope!!

She knew right where it went as soon as I gave it to her.

6 Month Photo Teaser

Kinley got her 6 month photo's taken this weekend at Wheeler Farm. Beckah from Laine Images in SLC did an amazing job. She was so fun and brought lots of fun stuff for Kinley to play with and take pictures with. We had quite an adventure getting them taken. Towards the end the wind got crazy and the sky darkened really early (6:45pm)...for those of you in the Utah area, you know it doesn't get dark here until like 9 or later...So we hurried and started heading for the cars...the sky opened up and POURED on us. I acted as a blocker for Kinley, so she didn't get toooo wet...

Then Beckah - being as amazing as she is sent me a teaser photo later that night. I absolutely love it and it totally captures just how silly Kinners is. I cannot cannot cannot wait to get the rest hopefully later this week!!!

Dear Hiding Teeth

Dear toofers that are hiding in Kinley's bottom gums...

Please stop playing the waiting game and pop through already. It's been weeks that we've been spying you down there...and you are making her miserable as of the last two days...as well as me. Who is this child that's fussy two days in a row? I'm not sure...one doesn't live in my household. We really are trying everything to help, but you are being stubborn as can be. If there's a specific kind of beef jerky you want, I'm all ears - I'll get it for you. It's hard for me to see her fussy and in pain and grumpy and tired and everything else...so please stop torturing us all and make your debut!
