9 Month / First Family Photos

Sooo....we got our family pictures and Kinley's 9 Month pictures back today. I love love love love love them!!! Beckah at Laine Images also did Kin's 6 month photos. We love her. She always makes us feel comfortable and happy!! We got them taken at the International Peace Gardens in SLC. There were people sleeping in their cars, and Kirby was a little skeptical, but I couldn't have asked for anything better! Here are some of the faves :)

Baby Steps - Seriously!!

She did it! We're so excited. She's taken a step or two or tried and fallen, but she officially walked/ran from the ottoman to the couch. Probably only 2 or 3 steps, but she was so excited!!! And we're so excited for her! Okay - she can stop now - really!! Almost too much for her mommas!!

See for yourself!!!

Baby steps baby steps!!!

A Cruisin' Kinley

Kinley's cruising right along these days. She can make her way all over anything that she can stand up to - so pretty much anything. She's also standing on her own and taking one or two steps! It's crazy!!! I'm excited for her to walk, but so not ready at the same time. I'm not sure if I'm ready for her to be considered a toddler toddling all over the place. Kirb says she will probably walk when we're not paying attention. She's awfully daring now trying to go from the ottoman to the pack in play in our living room. She didn't quite make it, but landed on her hands and knees and kept on going.

I got some videos of her standing. She has surprisingly good balance considering who her mom is haha! She's so proud of herself!!

She's watching our coworker Cameron in this one.

In this one she thought about moving her feet, but decided against it.

And of course she does all of this after we get back from Kansas. Silly girl.

Notice her fairy mat at work! I thought that might come in handy to keep her from bruising herself up as much since the floor at work is basically concrete with a thin layer of carpet!!

Are you as excited/nervous as we are about this?!

Go Kinley!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! We hope that everyone had a fantastic weekend and ate lots of delicious food surrounded by people they love!!

Our day started out packing and jumping on a plane...as soon as we were in the air - they were out!! I'm sure Kirb's wore out from all the packing he did (hahahahaha).

Thankfully Kin slept though because it just happens to be the only nap she gets in before 6pm Kansas time. She did so good on the plane sleeping and playing with her toys. She didn't even notice that she wasn't able to crawl all over the place.

We went straight from the airport to Grammy and Grampy Niebaum's house to Thanksgiving where lots of family came over!! Kinley loved the mashed tatO's and sweet potatoes, turkey and ham and rolls. She's such a great eater. She loved seeing all of her family!
Grandpa Great
 Gramma Great-Great

She even bulldozed over her cousin Keiryan a time or two!! But she loved seeing him!

Grampy with Kinley and Keiryan.

We were so proud of her for being a pretty good sport. And not being too fussy with her lack of a nap and seeing everyone.

We also went to the Christmas Tree Lighting at Gramma Great-Great's. It was cold, but Kinley looked like she'd came straight out of A Christmas Story and didn't feel it at all.

She got to play with Brooklynn (left) and Ella (right). They were all born within a month of each other and are in order by age from left (Jan 28th) to right (Feb 28th). We were so excited to get to see everyone and all the babies growing!!!
Pictures outside with Gramma Great-Great in front of the tree.

Out cold when we got back.
Everyone had a really great time visiting and eating chili and hot dogs. Even Kinley enjoyed some chili!
Kirby and his brothers Cole and Keith (Keiryan's daddy).

Kinley got lots of snuggles in with her Grammy.

And play time with Grampy (yes daddy is napping).
and Franny :)

She also got to meet her Great Papa Terry for the 1st time.
Can you tell she just woke up from a much needed nap.
She warmed up after a little while though.

We had brunch with Great Grandma and Grandpa Medcalf, Uncle Bob and Aunt Lee and their kids and her Aunt-Aunt Judy. But silly mom forgot her camera.

We took a break from everything to have a bath! She loved smiling for her Grammy.

Looking out the window on the plane ride back.

As always the time we got to spend with everyone was too short and we wished we could have seen and spent more time with everyone. But at the same time we're thankful for the time we did get to spend with everyone. So Kansas - we hope to see you again soon!!

Teeth Have Arrived...

I guess it would probably be better labeled - tooth has arrived. I've been able to snag a few pictures. It popped through the weekend of Halloween and you can bet that thing is razor sharp! Now I think it's about 1/3 of the way out. I always try to get a picture and wind up with this...

Or this...

Or this giant tongue we all love!

But I got one!!!
Can you see it?

SHE'S EVERYWHERE!!!!

Seriously - she's everywhere. Up the stairs, in the dishwasher, eating the top of her bed...reaching the top of my desk at work. And she's fast. If you've never paid attention to a baby crawling - when they put their heads down you know they're getting to it. We've nick-named her bulldozer at home, because she'll go over it or through it leaving a path of destruction. She definitely doesn't take the easy route, and unless something is put up in a high place (think top cabinets, not the arm of the chair or the kitchen table) this little stinker finds a way to get it. Her new favorite - showing me it's not nap time :)

Good morning jumpy baby :)

Ten minutes after I put her down for a nap - yes she's smiling

Whack whack whack - she likes to smack the chair and try to climb in it

If I could just get through this gate, I know I could get up those stairs again

 Just a little further...

See - I'm not joking. Who needs a workout when you have a baby that's ALWAYS going?!
Or up in your business :)

We got our family pictures this weekend and Kinley enjoyed getting ready...
It's her favorite spot in the mornings

Once we get them back from our favorite photographer, we'll be sure to share!!! We cannot wait to see them either!

How could this face = bulldozer you ask?   You'll just have to see!!

See you all in Kansas over Thanksgiving!! We can't wait to see everyone!!

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween Everyone!!! This was Kinley's First Halloween and we celebrated by dressing up with her and trick-or-treating!! Kinley was a fairy, Kirb a cowboy and I was a witch. Kirby picked out the wig! Haha.

Her Grandma came down to enjoy in the fun and help us take lots of pictures!

We had a blast trick-or-treating. One of our neighbors had an awesome zombie and pirate graveyard set up so we went there first and took more pictures!

Kinley got her first piece of candy - Twizzlers. And no one was taking that from her!!

Then we went home and handed out candy with some friends.

Earlier in the day we'd met some friends by work and had a quick trunk-or-treat.
 Kinley loves Morgan and Shyanne.

We also visited a pumpkin patch. She wasn't too sure what was going on, but she was happy to be outside.

 Happy Halloween!!!
